Eddie World believes in the concept of go big or go home. The first Eddie World was started in 2001 in Beatty, Nevada. This store is better known as Death Valley Nut & Candy Co. Eddie World Beatty was meant to push the limitations of a traditional gas station.
Their first location is 15,000 square feet and full of unique masonry work, medieval towers and a charming miniature waterfall castle. To enter Eddie World Beatty you must cross one of two brick bridges that span across a pond with an entrance towering 35 feet in the air. Eddie World Beatty is Nevada’s largest candy store.
The popularity of Eddie World’s first location has been the inspiration for their second location in Yermo, California, where Eddie World is redefining how people perceive gas stations, while creating the largest and most exciting attraction the High Desert has ever seen. Construction began the Spring of 2017. Eddie World threw open its doors for a soft opening on January 8, 2018.
Although Eddie World is open from 6-a.m. until midnight seven days a week, you may be surprised to learn their Grand Opening is actually scheduled for March 21, 2018. We have no doubt Eddie World will pull out all the stops to make it memorable, fun and no doubt, delicious. Eddie World is located at 36017 Calico Road in Yermo, California 92398.
Eddie World’s ginormous ice cream sundae cleverly disguises its water tower. The lighted sundae draws weary, curious and hungry motorists on the 15 Freeway like a beacon to a desert oasis. But this, boys and girls, is no mirage.
The inside of Eddie World Yermo is about 26,000 square feet with 26 fueling positions and 150 parking spots.
Eddie World in Yermo is conveniently centered between Los Angeles and Las Vegas in Yermo, CA, making it the perfect stopping point for travelers headed in either direction on Interstate 15.
Eddie World’s vast selection of candies, chocolates, nuts, dried fruits and sugar free candy that spans 10,000 square feet alone and each day their inventory continues to grow.
Eddie World in Yermo features some of the rarest and most unique items of Lakers’ memorabilia you’ve ever seen. Eddie World even has the actual hard floor of the original court of the Great Western Forum!
Did you know Eddie World has 3D edible candy gummy printers at work creating amazing gummies? There are only 5 of these printers in the entire state of California, and Eddie World has two of them.
You never know who you’ll bump into at Eddie World. The reigning Miss Barstow 2017, Jessie McKinnon, creates delectable delights with a friendly smile at Miggy’s Poke.
Did you say fresh Hawaiian Poke in the middle of the desert? You bet. Our delicious Poke bowl consisted of five different types of fish, including octopus and flying fish roe on a bed of greens. You build your own bowl from an abundance of toppings, sauces and bases.
Eddie World Yermo boasts it can make you a custom pizza in just 90 seconds! By the looks of their humongous Italian pizza ovens, it looks like they’re not kidding around.
Eddie World Yermo’s amazing mosaic tiles were hand-applied by a resident artist mostly working at night. The level of craftsmanship and attention to detail is outstanding.
Jedidiah’s Jerky from Barstow Station has a space here, and many jerky aficionados claim it’s the best on the planet.
Whether it’s something savory or sweet you’re craving, you’ll likely find it at Eddie World alongside their impressive collection of cute stuffed animals for sale.
Eddie World also offers an amazing selection of beverages, including Peet’s Coffee, which opens at 6 a.m.
Each fuel island is now serviced by their own multi purpose bin which includes free paper towels and most importantly — free gloves. Gas nozzles are scientifically proven to be one of the dirtiest surfaces humans come into contact with. Knowing this fact, Eddie World decided to mitigate the problem by offering customers one-time disposable gloves.
Eddie World also installed free air pumps at each fuel island. It’s a convenient feature many patrons have been pleasantly surprised to find. Sometimes it’s the small things that make all the difference.
In April 2017, Eddie World partnered with Tesla motors, and installed 18 supercharger stations in the parking lot, making Eddie World their largest charging station between Los Angeles and Las Vegas at the time.
And last but not least, because we know you’re dying to know—Eddie World offers clean, spacious restroom facilities. There’s a special surprise in the men’s room—they get to play a video game which is installed at each urinal. Guys get to shoot tanks with their stream of urine.
I asked John to take a photo inside the men’s room. In a serious tone of voice, he said real men don’t take photos in men’s restrooms. You guys will have to check it out for yourselves.
The restroom doors automatically advance fresh antibacterial sleeves over the handle every time it’s used. This ensures customers are no longer affected by the germs left by all those who opened the door previously. Why hasn’t anyone thought of this before?
Eddie World even has its own water treatment plant. They are not connected to a sewer system and must therefore process all of their own waste water on-site. The end product of this process results in waste water being transformed into high-quality clean water which they put back into the ground.
Eddie World advertises that it’s “different from the rest.” Thankfully, it’s true. Why fight Vegas traffic when you can hang out at Eddie World? We give Eddie World Yermo two thumbs up and look forward to its continued success.

One correction: Tesla opened a supercharger station in Baker right around Thanksgiving (just a couple days before the ones at Eddie World were made accessible), which has 40 stalls. That makes Eddie World the 2nd largest supercharger stop between L.A. and Vegas, but definitely the better of the two stops now that Eddie World is open! My wife and I were at Eddie World on 1/28 and spotted one of Tesla’s new Model 3 sedans charging up.
